Jarod Taylor is the Certification Program Manager for AFCPE. In his role, he guides candidates through the certification process, connects organizations with the appropriate training for their teams, and assists professionals in maintaining their certification. Jarod holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from the University of Pittsburgh, and a master’s in business administration from Capital University. Jarod became an AFC® in 2019.
Before joining AFCPE, Jarod worked in financial capability programming in the non-profit sector. In his first job out of college, he began working on affordable housing grants at the onset of the 2008 housing crisis. Jarod spent the next 10 years working in financial counseling and education. He has conducted first-time homebuyer workshops, created and presented financial education workshops for workforce development and re-entry programs, and assisted low-income individuals rebuild their credit. Jarod has also volunteered with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program (VITA) for over ten years and previously managed a free income-tax clinic serving hundreds in Columbus, OH.
